How did I became a story writer

How did I became a story writer
Maybe for other people it is a talent they were born with, or
maybe they acquired the ability through diligent study, but as for me
it was almost by accident that I discover a taste for writing.

Although I did enjoy anything involving writing, when I was at
school, But I had never really even considered sitting down to write
anything of length, let alone a full length story, it wasn't until
one day while on a writers circle website, I spotted a competition
which involved writing a story based on Wind in the willows

The idea appealed to me, even though it had to be 2,000 words long,
which at the time I thought I would not be able to complete.

But undaunted I started writing my story, and to my surprise it grew
surprisingly quick, before I knew it I was very close to over shooting
the limit and had to cut back some of the story

Finally I had finished, I posted of my entry and waited, unfortunately
I didn't win, but because of making the effort to write the
story, it set me off wanting to write even more

Yes I got the writing bug as it were, I found myself coming up with all
kinds of story lines, even at night-time when I was trying to sleep or
even early morning.

You might be thinking that by the time I got up I would have forgotten
all of those ideas, but strangely no, as long as I could remember the
basic plot or how the story began, I could sit at the keyboard and
start to type it out, and as with my willows story, the words began to
almost talk to me.

My one and only problem is I find it really difficult to find suitable ending to my stories, and as yet have had none of them published, the nearest to publishing, was I placed my willows story
on (my-space)
Sadly "myspace" is no longer available, so all of my articles including my story have been lost forever!

Since those days I have continued to write stories, mostly short ones and I have posted on the internet in assorted places one of them being IBOTOOLBOX

I may make a compiled PDF eBook of all my stories, and publish them that way, or perhaps I will use Kindle to publish them
